4/10 (6pm-8pm) - Glass Painting @ The Bookish Flower

$45.00

A monthly collaboration (every second Friday) with The Glass Elemental

THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE EVENT ROOM OF THE BOOKISH FLOWER (213 Frank Lloyd Wright Way, Lakeland, FL 33803)

Settle in among the shelves and let your creativity take the lead. Join artist Carley from The Glass Elemental inside The Bookish Flower's event space for a cozy, bookish evening of glass painting — no experience required, just a love of art and a good story.

Using professional-grade Pébéo Vitria glass paints and a relief outliner, you'll transform a thrifted 5×7 frame into a one-of-a-kind faux stained glass art piece that catches the light like a stained glass window. Carley will have a range of metal and wooden 5x7 picture frames for you to choose from as you check in. Then, you’ll select from eight curated bookish designs that are inspired by book lovers and cozy libraries, or bring your own vision to life freestyle. Artists will learn how to use relief outliners to imitate the solder lines of stained glass and then flood each section with color to create a stunning masterpiece!

What's included:

  • All glass painting materials

  • A thrifted 5×7 frame with glass pane, ready to paint

  • Step-by-step guidance from a professional glass artist

  • Good vibes, fellow book lovers, and a creative night out

A note on your finished piece: Glass paint needs a few days to fully cure and bond to the surface, so your frame will stay with Carley after class. She'll install hanging hardware to your frame and carefully package everything up for pickup the following weekend. Good things are worth the wait.

Bring your own 5×7 frame? We love that energy. Bring your own 5×7 picture frame (with glass pane, not acrylic) and receive a $5 gift card toward a future class at The Glass Elemental studio in Lakeland's Depot Arts District.

A note on age: This class is open to all ages, though the experience and designs are curated with adults in mind. Young artists are welcome with a participating guardian.

Spots fill fast — this is a small, intimate class by design. Grab yours before the chapter closes.
